Community Coach – Early Years

City in the Community currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Coach to join their fantastic Early Years team in Manchester. This role will allow the successful candidate to directly impact child development and make a real difference to the youngest members of our community. This is a full-time position, offered on an initial fixed term basis until the end of August 2020.

The purpose of this role is to deliver on the City Play programme that focuses on developing the physical literacy of children aged 2-5 in schools and nurseries across Greater Manchester. The excellent programme provides a football focused approach to delivering fundamentals of movement and skill in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering the City Play programme to a range of schools and nurseries across Greater Manchester to focus on increasing participants physical development and confidence in their fundamentals of movement and skill.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of a high-quality programme ensuring it provides a fun, structured, enjoyable and safe environment for all to develop within.
  • Progressing and reporting on set individual KPIs and outcomes associated with the project to develop, maintain and grow the programme.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with teaching staff and practitioners at all schools and nurseries to secure their continued support.

 

Applicants should have experience working with children aged 2-5 in a school or community sporting environment and therefore know we are looking for someone patient and flexible, who can adapt easily to the needs of individual groups. 

They should be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Excel and OneDrive and have excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills. The role demands that the successful candidate can work independently, using their own initiative and there is some travel during the day according to set timetables.

Stewards 

We want you! This is your opportunity to join Manchester City's highly trained stewards at the Etihad Stadium.

We are looking for men and women with morale courage to sign up to the team!

Recruitment begins with interviews for potential new stewards at the stadium on Saturday 12th October with an induction and familiarisation session planned for Tuesday 29th or Thursday 31st October (subject to change).  Please note if you cannot attend one of the induction dates detailed above, we are unable to further your application should you be successful at interview.

The first match for those successful applicants would be Southampton fixture on 1st November (dates subject to change).

  • To ensure appropriate paperwork i.e. Goods Received, temperature record and fridge record sheets, HACCP and COSSH are completed and handed to the Head Chef by set guidelines.
  • To collect the allergen matrix from Head Chef for every function or match day service taking the time to review and update it were necessary so that all allergens are captured. It must be accessible to all employees and guests and/or customers
  • To ensure that all employees are trained which enables them to carry out their duties according to departmental standards.
  • To ensure that all employees and casual employees adhere to the departmental standard of dress and personal hygiene always.This is to include PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment).
