Daphne Corboz has signed a new contract with Manchester City Women.
Creative and passionate, the playmaker made an instant impact with a goal and two assists in her first four games and quickly became a first-team regular.
Upon signing last summer, the 22-year-old revealed she had postponed medical school to follow her dream, but asserts her choice - although risky - was justified.
"It feels great to have signed a new contract," she told mcfc.co.uk. "Choosing to come here was the best decision of my life so it wasn't a difficult decision to stay.
"I feel I've learned a lot as a player and a person. As I mentioned last year, the facilities here are second to none, and the staff and players I get to learn from every day are incredible too.
"They have made my experience amazing."
Ever humble, Corboz conceded she is still adapting to the English game but is thoroughly enjoying the challenge.
"The style of play here - the way the league works - is different from the USA," she continued, "but I was pleased to able to get a little bit of success.
"The team did really well last year and personally, I always want to be able to contribute as much as I can."
When asked what she feels City can achieve this year, the midfielder insisted the Club have the set-up and mentality to compete with the best.
"The way we played last year just shows how high our ambitions and potential can be," she declared.
"The investment the Club puts into its Women's team can only help us reach those goals quicker.
"I don't think there is a limit to our success."
